July TBR

July TBR (1)

I may have bitten off a lot more than I can chew this month.

I have decided to partake in 3 readathons.

Yup 3. The Medieval-A-Thon, The Final Biannual Bibliothon, and the 24 in 48 Hours Readathon. I’m a bit nervous about it, but I’m feeling like I’m breaking through my reading slump and I feel like I’m ready to read a bunch.

Oathbringer
by Brandon Sanderson

My love for this knows no bounds. I had a great time reading this and can’t wait for book 4 to come out.

Also, not that I would ever want to see this adapted because I know I would never be happy about it, I always picture Davos Seaworth as Dalinar and I think that actor would make a fantastic Dalinar.

What are you currently reading?

Written in My Own Hearts Blood
by Diana Gabaldon

I’m almost caught up on Outlander! I’m currently about 200 pages into this and while I don’t have a full opinion yet, I am feeling very anxious about the suspense of the story so far.

Good Omens
by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman

I’m 100 pages into this and I’m having a hard time getting into it. I think I can finish this by tomorrow and hopefully binge the show this weekend.

I think this is going to be my first book of the Medieval-A-Thon

Its no secret on this blog that I love readathons. I’ve participated in several rounds of Bout of Books, Dewey’s 24 Hour readathons, Biannual Bibliothons, 24in48 hrs, and I’m sure several more that aren’t quite coming to mind right now.

Saturday I stumbled across a video on Youtube announcing the Medieval-A-Thon, a month-long readathon taking place during the month of July, and I immediately knew that I was going to be participating.

I love readathons like this where you can choose to fulfill several prompts to assemble a character. It reminds me a bit of the reading quest that took place a couple years ago and I really enjoyed that readathon. I think I have my tbr completed so let’s get into it.

TTT: Most Anticipated Releases for the rest of 2019

ttt-new

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

June 18: Most Anticipated Releases for the rest of 2019

I haven’t really been paying attention to a lot of releases this year. Since I’ve been focusing on reading books I already own or catching up on series, I’ve only read a handful of new releases so far. But these are the ones that are on my radar and I’m so nervous because there’s a handful of concluding novels and I don’t want those series to end!

Top Ten Tuesday: My favorite fantasy books

ttt-new

This is always a hard prompt and for some reason, I always feel bad about the books that didn’t make the list (for example Mistborn and Six of Crows aren’t on this list but I also love those books.) These are some of my top favorites, trust me there are more, but I think about these examples all the time.

June 4: Books From My Favorite Genre (You pick the genre, and give us your ten faves.)
