Yes, this is my unhaul. For the last few weeks, I’ve been doing a lot of spring cleaning. I’ve donated three big bags of clothes, shoes, purses, and I’ve just been trying to really downsize the amount of clutter that’s going on in my room right now.
But I didn’t think that getting rid of any of my books was going to be happening but over the weekend I found myself thinking about some the books I had and I just wasn’t sure why I was hoarding them. It’s not like I was ever going to reread them and why am I holding onto books that I didn’t even like?
I knew that if I didn’t start gathering these books together now that I was never going to, in fact, I’m already starting to doubt myself over some of the books listed below…

I’m sorry if this post was boring since its just a list of books that I’m getting rid of, I’m still trying to get back into blogging and this unhaul happened pretty randomly and I just ran with it. That’s why the photos are so crappy and there’s not a lot to talk about. Not an excuse just an explanation.
I think this is definitely a great start, now all that’s left to decide is where do I want to take these guys?
Should I donate them to the library? Goodwill? Should I sell them at Half Price Books?
Also, have you ever done a unhaul? Am I crazy for doing one?
The Little Book Cottage 
I really need to do an unhaul too! Like you, I’ve never gotten rid of any books, and honestly, I need to. I have so many books that I know I’m never going to read again, and honestly, probably wouldn’t even recommend to anyone, and books that I haven’t read and know I never will. I really need to get rid of them so I have space for the books that I actually love and want to read. It’s just so hard! 😜
Let me know what you decide to do with the books, because I’m not sure what to do with an unhaul. lol

I’m toying with a clean up of my shelves this year. I have so many books that I’m holding onto that I’m never, ever gonna read again. So this post is inspirational. I may have to document my “unhauling” on my blog, too. Thanks for the inspiration. 😬
Also, I didn’t know you could sell books to Half Price books? I need to find out more about this!

WOW that is a lot of unhauling! I think I need to do this now… What were your thoughts on Dreamology? I’ve been wanting to read it for awhile now and have been curious to what others think.

I actually did not like it at all, I thought it was all over the place and kind of boring, I really struggled to get through it.

You are much braver than I! I have a box of around 30-40 titles that are either ARCs or old physical copies I probably won’t read but they’re just chilling in the corner of my room because “WHAT IF?!” But hey at least you have more room for new pretties to add to your shelves (before having to potentially unhaul again in several months).
I was going to try to throw them in either the Little Free Libraries around my city or the library; although I know a lot of people who try to get some compensation back before taking that avenue. But I definitely just want these books to find a home!

I would totally pay for shipping for Dreamology and The Sin Eater’s Daughter! I’m trying to make my classroom library more updated. I have tried to read Dreamology but my library doesn’t have it.
Otherwise I think it’s good to donate to libraries. They need all the help they can get. Goodwill only donates less than 10% of profits to charity. If you look up charities and percentages you will see they give the least.

Whoa, what an unhaul! Even though it’s not mine (I’m horrendous at unhauling, unfortunately), it’s giving me a therapeutic vibe just looking at it.
When I get rid of books (the scant times I do, ugh), I usually throw them up on Ebay for a month or two to see if I can get any cash, then donate them to Goodwill if they don’t sell. I don’t live near any used bookstores, but if I did, I’d give them a go before anything else!

That’s an impressive unhaul! I always get so sentimental when it comes to my books and have the most difficult time getting rid of them. I really should try to suck it up and do it sometime soon though because the amount of books I have is getting a little ridiculous, haha.

I just recently did an unhaul. I’m attempting to trade them on Twitter for books I want more but no luck so far. You have some good ones though so you’d probably be able to make some gkd trades. I give a lot of my old books to my friends too.

I live in a very very very small town (it’s actually considered a village) and our library is tiny but nice. I tend to bring all the books I know I’ll never read again or unconsolidated review copies I have no interest in there. The librarians told me that if they don’t stock them they give them to local nursing homes and schools as well so I always end up feeling really good about it. I would say if you know you can’t get any money for them or know the library is lacking in those titles donate them there and give someone else a chance to enjoy them. 🙂
