12 Autumn Moments

Its crunch day.

I have three books to finish by the end of the night to complete my medievalathon goals. It so intimidating but I honestly think I can do it. I’m incredibly stressed at the thought but hear me out because I think I can do it and I need for you to believe in me.

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World Of Words. Simply answer the following questions:

What did you recently finish reading?

What are you currently reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

Furyborn
by Claire LeGrand

I didn’t love this as much as I thought I was going to, I ended up giving this 4 stars because it is enjoyable, I love the world and the shifting perspectives, but I feel like a lot of the plot was simply building up events for book 2 and I can’t wait to get my hands on Kingsbane.

The Husbands Secret
by Liane Moriarty

I was really let down by this, I think if I had read this first instead of Big Little Lies I would have loved it and then been blown away by BLL. In this I found some of the plot points to be a little dull and kind of predictable. I also wasn’t wowed by the ending, it was all a bit anticlimactic.

What are you currently reading?

This is insane because these are the three books I’m trying to read before the end of the day, it’s crazy but attainable.

The Priory of the Orange Tree
by Samantha Shannon

Vengeful
by V.E. Schwab

Four Dead Queens
by Astrid Scholte

I’m listening to the audiobook for Priory, I have 7 hours left and I listen at double speed so only three hours. Totally doable.

I’m on page 315 of Vengeful, so only 163 pages left. Again doable, I can read a massive chunk of that during my lunch break.

Four Dead Queens is another story but here’s my logic and here’s why I think it’s attainable. The audiobook is 11 hours and 32 minutes long since I read slightly faster than double speed, it seems reasonable to estimate that it would take me about 5 hours to read. I get off work at 4 p.m. I do need to go grocery shopping which should only take an hour and I typically go to bed around 11. If I start at 6 p.m. I should finish by 11.

What do you think you’ll read next?

King of Scars
by Leigh Bardugo

I chose this as my next audiobook and I’m very excited to finally read this.

The Great Alone
by Kristin Hannah

I’ve been thinking about this book a lot lately so it’s going to be my next physical book.

Aurora Rising
by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

I still haven’t finished this and I really want to but it’s just that I’ve had to focus on the behemoth that is Priory.
