24 in 48 hr Readathon wrap up

I didn’t do as well as I hoped I would. I sat down to read Saturday morning after a struggle to even get out of my nice warm bed. I made coffee and breakfast (sweet potato toast with mashed avocado, 10 outta 10 and highly recommend), set up my reading area with blankets, books, I light a candle, sat down, and immediately lost all interest.

I don’t know why but I just wasn’t feeling it, which is such a disappointment because I had been looking forward to this readathon since the last round.

I cant be too mad at myself, I did read more then I would have if there wasn’t a readathon going on. I read for 4 hours, started 3 books, finished 1, and made some progress on another.

On my TBR for this round was Slayer, The Wicked King, The Loneliest Girl in the Universe, Space Opera, and What if Its Us. Here’s how my progress went.

During hour 1, I read 34 pages of Slayer, 50 pages of What if Its Us, and 16 pages of The Wicked King. I wasn’t sure what to read so I ended up reading the first few chapters from each book and went from there. For hour 2 I decided to stick with What If Its Us and read 96 pages. From there I took a break to clean around the house, run some errands, and make lunch.
For hour 3 I read another 173 pages of What If Its Us and then had to take a break to go to my dads, I brought him the first four seasons of Game of Thrones since I own those in DVD. He was watching Star Wars Rouge One and I stayed to watch the end of that movie and the first twenty minutes of A New Hope.

I didn’t feel like reading when I got home so I just snuggled up on the couch to watch some Brooklyn Nine Nine until I fell asleep.

On Day 2 I only read for an hour. I finished up the last 114 pages of What If Its Us and read 13 pages of Journey to The Center of the Earth.

If you participated in the 24 in 48 hour readathon how did you do?
If you didn’t participate did you read anything over the weekend?
