I just wanted to post a quick announcement post saying that I will be participating in the Tome Topple Readathon.
*I keep typing out Challenge instead of Readathon. my brain will not cooperate today.*
So Tome Topple is hosted by Thoughts on Tomes over on youtube. The readathon is centered around reading big books (500+ pages)
The readathon starts at midnight June 5th and goes until midnight June 19th.
There are challenges but they are not mandatory but I thought it would be fun
1. Read more than one tome (500+ pages)
2. Take a graphic novel break (doesn’t need to be over 500 pages!)
3. Read a tome that is part of a series
4. Read over 500 pages in one week
5. Read an adult novel
A Court of Mist and Fury *part of a series*
All The Light We Cannot See *adult novel*
The Bone Season *adult novel*
Dragonfly in Amber
I hope to
A Dance with Dragons
I know I
Watchmen *graphic novel break*
This has been on my list for a long time now, I think it’s been about a year and a half now so if I can read this throughout the readathon it’ll make me extremely happy.
There’s my TBR for you, I plan on posting two updates, probably weekly and track my progress that way.
All I can think about is continuing on with the Bloodline series.
I’m about 75 pages into Red Rising by Pierce Brown and even though I’m liking what I’m reading so far, all I want to do is pick up Golden Lily and continue on with Bloodlines. I actually think that’s what I am going to do so that I can finish up with Bloodlines and give Red Rising the 100% focus and attention that it deserves. I ended up not getting much reading done on Day 3, I had a bit of a headache so I just laid in bed and watched a bit of Netflix and gave my mind a chance to relax.
So not much of an update besides the fact that I am going to abandon my entire Bout of Books tbr and just devour the Bloodlines series.
so exciting update huh.
I slept even worse last night, I went to bed around 10:30 p.m. and I woke up at 2:30 a.m. FML. KMN. I could not go back to sleep for the life of me. That sucked. Finally sometime around 4:30 I gave up and started reading Bloodlines by Richelle Mead. I read about 125 pages before I had to actually get up and get ready to go. I did finish it though around 2 o’clock. OMG it was amazing! I loved it! I will have a review up soon on it and literally the only thing I want to do is pick Golden Lily which is book 2 in the series. But I read a few more pages of Red Rising and about 50 pages of the 5th Wave.
Bout of Books Day 2
pages read 496
The 5th Wave
How is everyone doing during Bout of Books?
It’s Day 1 of the Bout of Books readathon and I think it’s going alright, I didn’t sleep that well so I’m kinda taking it easy, a nice steady start into the week.

pages read: 154
rating: 5 out of 5 stars.
I loved this, it was an amazing installment to this series, there was phenomenal character growth, and it never felt forced, I feel like the characters themselves grew instead of the author forcing them to grow.
After that, I was hoping to pick up The 5th wave but I wasn’t quite feeling it at the moment, so I read a few pages each of Bloodlines, Red Rising, and decided to stick with Bloodlines, for now, I’m going to get to Red Rising afterwards.
See you for the next update!
