WWW Wednesday 7/17

12 Autumn Moments

I’m so far behind on my readathon goals. I had such a busy weekend and I wasn’t able to get as much done as I liked. I keep getting distracted by video games and Friends. I try to keep telling myself that I can get back to those things in a couple days but the other part of my brain is like “no, I want instant gratification,” This is my daily struggle.

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World Of Words. Simply answer the following questions:

What did you recently finish reading?

What are you currently reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

European Travel for the Monsterous Gentlewoman
by Theodora Goss

I loved this so much, I have nothing but kind words to say about it. I think this series is so much fun and I adore all of the new characters that made an appearance. I was just grinning nonstop while reading.

Captain Marvel Volume 1: In Pursuit of Flight
by Kelly Sue DeConnick

While the story line was a little lacking for me, I devoured this simply because of the art style. It was dark and had a vintage aesthetic that I couldn’t get enough of.

Red Sister
by Mark Lawrence

While I really liked this, I do feel like I already need to reread this, theres so much thats going on and it took me a while to get accustomed with the world and the school style. I get the feeling that the next time I read this book, I’m going to get into far quicker and I’m going to love it.

The Thousandth Floor
by Katherine McKee

This was so interesting and that’s all I could think while reading “This world is interesting,” “The idea of New York City being contained within a tower is so interesting,” “All of these characters are so interesting,” I can’t wait to get my hands on book 2 and see how everything goes from where it left off.

Aurora Rising
by Amie Kauffman and Jay Kristoff

Since Im really behind on the Biannual Bibliothon, Im going to try to cram in at least the group book so I could maybe partake in the last liveshow. Maybe, we’ll see how it goes.

The Golem and The Jinni
by Helen Wecker

This is my next audiobook and while its a bit slow, its interesting enough to keep you hooked.

What do you think you’ll read next?

by Claire LeGrand

I really want to get to this soon and I just picked it up on audio.

Girls on the Verge
by Sharon Biggs Waller

Since this is a short read I think I can fit it in before the end of the Biannual Bibliothon.

What are you reading this week?
