Four Book to Movie Adaptations I’m Excited About

Book to movie

I’m seeing Captain Marvel tonight and I am so excited. Since I’m going out to a movie today I thought it would be appropriate timing to talk about some book to movie adaptations that I’m excited for. Lately, I’ve been pretty picky about the movies I go see, I typically go to the superhero movies or see book adaptations with the occasional animated movie thrown in.

There weren’t many movies that jumped out at me when I googled for ideas but these four descriptions had me the most excited.

WWW Wednesday 3/6

12 Autumn Moments

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World Of Words. Simply answer the following questions:

What did you recently finish reading?

What are you currently reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

What did you recently finish reading?

The Winter of the Witch
by Katherine Arden

I loved this and thought it was a well-done finale to a beautiful trilogy.

The Kingdom of Cooper
by S.A. Chakraborty

This was a delightful sequel, it was nice and action-packed, it kept me pretty glued to the pages.

That Month in Tuscany
by Inglath Cooper

I was so incredibly disappointed by this, despite having several tropes that I liked, the characters were all garbage and it ruined the book for me.

What are you currently reading?

The Fiery Cross
by Diana Gabaldon

This has such a slow start to it, I had expected it to be like Drums of Autumn where I was hooked to it but with this, I’m just patiently waiting for the plot to pick up.

The Warrior Heir
by Cinda Williams Chima

So far, I’m feeling confused and a little let down by this, I kinda wish I had just started the Demon King instead of this. I am only 65 pages into it so Im thinking I’ll give it to page 100 and see how I feel about it then.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Next Year In Havana
by Chanel Cleeton

I can’t stop thinking about this book so it’s going to be the next one I read.

A Breathe of Snow and Ashes
by Diana Gabaldon

This will be my next audiobook and Ill keep progressing towards my Outlander goal.

March 5: Characters I’d Like To Switch Places With

ttt-new

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

March 5: Characters I’d Like To Switch Places With

This prompt kind of stumped me for a bit simply because there are loads of book worlds I would love to insert myself into but do I really want to switch places with a character when I know what kind of shit show they are going to face?

Or there are characters where I don’t really want to take their place but I want to be them.

Building My Book Cart

Book Cart

“I have zero self control” is a statement I’ve consistently stated several times in the post. I know I’ve said in several of my book hauls and now in this post as well. Sometimes when I get an idea or an urge stuck in my mind its all I can do to resist it and sometimes that energy just builds up in my mind and explodes with me rushing to the store to buy whatever it is that’s consuming me.

That’s what happened a couple weeks ago with my book haul and it happened again with this book cart.

February Wrap up 2019

Monthly Wrap Up

February was a bit of a slow month for me, I started playing a lot of Elder Scrolls Skyrim, which is interesting because I hated that game when I first started it but I’ve been giving it a second chance and I am addicted. So that’s taken some reading time away from me but I’ve also been feeling so tired that I start reading but fall asleep so quickly. I keep telling my bf that I feel like I should be hibernating. I’m hoping my reading interest picks up in the spring as the sun starts coming out more.

That being said, I did get a bit of reading done so let’s get into that.
