Audiobooks I love

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

March 26: Audio Freebie (Any audio goes: audiobooks, music, podcasts, you name it.)

I’ve developed a love for audiobooks, I especially love them for classic literature and longer books since a good audiobook helps me maintain my focus on the story.

The Night Circus- What can I say about Jim Dale that hasn’t been said already? The man was born to narrate books.

The Handmaids Tale- Claire Danes voice has a hint of defiance that comes out as she reads through the book and its a perfect compliment to the story.

The Bone Season- I simply love the narrators accent.

Strange the Dreamer- Steve West did a great job with the narration and I wish I could remember details but I listened to this over a year ago and I can only remember simply loving his voice.

On Writing- Stephen King himself narrates his memoir and its amazing. I love his no bullshit attitude that he has and it made the book that much better.

Jane Eyre- Thandie’s narration might be one of my favorites, there was something about her voice that I just couldn’t get enough of.

Pride and Prejudice -Rosamund Pike does an amazing job narrating this book, I love that she plays Jane Bennet in the 2005 movie adaptation.

Ready Player One- The first audiobook I listened to and one of my top favorites, I love Wil Wheaton’s narration and its also one of the few audiobooks I’ve listened to over and over.

Tower of Dawn- I loved how this narrator told Chaol’s and Yrene’s story.

American Gods by Neil Gaiman- This audiobook has an introduction by the author and is performed by a full cast, which I always love.
