12 Autumn Moments

Good Morning!

I’m very excited about the books I have to talk about this week. I still haven’t been reading a lot. I find myself to currently be addicted to Skyrim, its so bad, its all I want to do right now with my free time. I’m not interested in any shows or reading, I just want to play more Skyrim. It took me so long to get into because it has a huge learning curve (at least it did for me,) but when I’m at work I find myself thinking about this damn game or taking a few minutes to laugh at Skyrim memes. I haven’t been this into a game since I played Dragon Age.

I did take enough of a break from the game to go see Captain Marvel which I loved so much, it did meet most of my expectations, and I loved Brie Larson’s performance.

Anyways let’s talk books

The Mermaids Voice Returns In This One
by Amanda Lovelace

I really enjoyed this collection of poems, they were just as emotional and powerful as her other two collections, but what made me like this collection a little bit more was that I found these to create more visuals in my head as I read them. I would love to see aesthetic collections based on these poems because they were that beautiful.

The Fiery Cross
by Diana Gabaldon

I am almost done with this book. I have less than 250 pages left and I think I can finish it today.

The Way of Kings
by Brandon Sanderson

Once I finish the Fiery Cross I plan on taking a bit of a break from Outlander and during that break, I think I’ll start the Way of Kings and then probably alternate the series. So I’ll read The Way of Kings and then A Breath of Snow and Ashes, Words of Radiance, An Echo In the Bone, Oathbringer, and then Written In My Own Hearts Blood.

Daisy Jones and The Six
by Taylor Jenkins Reid

I loved The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and based off of all the current hype I really think I’m going to love this as well.
