This was an interesting prompt and I had a hard time coming up with this list because quite a few of my results were graphic novels and since it’s been a while since I’ve read them, I wanted to keep this list relatively recent.
The Dead Queens Club
by Hannah Capin
I read this earlier this month and I’m still thinking about it. I think this is a fun and creative twist on the Tudor era, I loved all the reference points in history and how the author incorporated geographical names.
The Color Project
by Sierra Abrams
I enjoyed so many aspects of this book, I loved everything from hearing about the flower shop the main character worked in, to the charity project that Levi was setting up. This book is heartfelt and the characters are entirely relatable.
by Sarah Leamy
Goodreads only has one review and rating for this book and it’s my review/rating, I just get sad whenever I see that because I really enjoyed this book. Sarah has a great sense of humor that shows through the pages and she even creates dialogue for her pets who are traveling with her.
In all honesty, I read this simply because the main characters name is Cassidy and shes a writer. And I loved this book because the main characters name is Cassidy and shes a writer. I’m shallow and I love when things have my name in it.
That’s it, those are some underrated books that I love.
