This year I want to focus less on the number of books I’m reading, even though I’m still setting my Goodreads goal at 100 books, this year I want my goals to be more specific rather than just a number.
Finish the Outlander Series: I am currently on book 4 and I would like to get to book 8.
Finish half of my unread series: This kinda ties into the Outlander goal but that is a set series that I want to catch up to, this one is more casual. I have a lot of series that I haven’t even started but I would like to get around to them.
read 12 classics: I’ve read more classics this year than any other year and I am so proud of myself. I want to read some Jules Verne and Mark Twain, those are two authors that I have never read before and I would like to.
Read 6 non-fiction books: Non-fiction isn’t a genre I reach for often but I’m trying to expand my horizons. I have a few memoirs and a few essay collections that I would like to get to.
Read 10 big books: I don’t know if I should include goal #1 in this goal or not, kinda feels like cheating to add it in, I typically shy away from bigger books since it takes longer for me to read them but if I’m focusing less on quantity then I won’t feel pressured to read something shorter. I really want to pick up the Way of Kings and all the available books in that series, maybe some more Stephen King like Under the Dome or 11/22/63
