Sharp Objects
by Gillian Flynn

I did not enjoy this. I thought it was slow, the story was boring, and even though it was dark, it was a very dark book, it wasn’t thrilling. I wasn’t on the edge of my seat, I wasn’t anticipating what could come next. Also while I didn’t guess the plot twist, I was not surprised by it. It was the one that made the most sense.

Iron Gold
by Pierce Brown

Mhmm, another book that I didn’t care for, it was fine, I gave it 3 out of 5 stars. It’s just that nothing happened for the first 250 pages and then you got some semblance of an idea of what is going to happen. I also started to not like Darrow and I was hoping for a POV from Mustang but that didn’t happen.

The Two Towers
by J.R.R Tolkien

I started this a while ago and just wasn’t quite in the mood for it, I was reading it really slowly, but that’s on me. I thought was was great I loved seeing more about the Ents they are one of my top favorite things about Middle Earth. Also, I was very happy to see that Smeagol is just as dramatic in the book as he is in the movies. Andy Serkis is amazing and can never be replaced as Smeagol.

Dracula
by Bram Stoker

I’m glad that I finally read this. And I did enjoy it, for the most part, I thought it was more funny than scary. Dracula is another drama queen of a character and I really want to watch the Christopher Lee version of Dracula. I need to see Lee portray Dracula. I bet he’s perfect.

What are you currently reading?

It
by Stephen King

Still reading It, I’m liking it a lot more than I thought I would. I love the way Stephen King writes fear. He makes it out to be such a tangible thing, and he writes about fears that are common in kids, so its something that you could think back on and relate to. For me anyway, it makes me almost nostalgic for that childhood fear and for the childhood innocence that comes with that fear. Does that make sense? I just have a lot to say about this book.

Emma
by Jane Austen

This is the audiobook I’m starting today, Emma will be my fourth Jane Austen book this year and I am so excited about the synopsis.

Catwoman: Soulstealer
by Sarah J Maas

I started this yesterday, I’m 100 pages in and enjoying it so far, all my favorite characters have been named dropped. I’m hoping to finish this up today.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Girl on the Train
by Paula Hawkins

Giving another thriller a shot. Maybe it’ll go better than Sharp Objects.

Antigoddess
by Kendare Blake

I’m excited to read another Kendare Blake book, I love that this is going to be about Greek Gods.
