I saw this tag over on Drizzleandhurricanebooks and it looked so fun that I wanted to partake in it.
BEST BOOK YOU’VE READ YET IN 2018
The Bear and The Nightingale, I keep thinking about this book and the setting and the characters, I haven’t read book 2 yet but I intend to soon.
BEST SEQUEL YOU’VE READ SO FAR IN 2018
Smoke in the Sun by Renee Ahdeih was everything that I wanted in a sequel
NEW RELEASE YOU HAVEN’T READ YET BUT WANT TO
Legendary by Stephanie Garber
MOST ANTICIPATED RELEASE FOR THE SECOND HALF OF THE YEAR
It has to be Queen of Air and Darkness because I need answers! My heart needs this book right now!
Asking For It by Louise O’Neill, I couldn’t stand the main character’s attitude within the first 50 pages, so much that I couldn’t continue.
Beasts of Extraordinary Circumstances by Ruth Emmie Lang, I loved this so much! The writing was gorgeous and the story moved at a great pace, I was glued to these pages.
FAVORITE NEW AUTHOR
Tomi Adeyemi hands down, I will pick up anything this author puts out
NEWEST FICTIONAL CRUSH
Don’t have one tbh.
NEWEST FAVOURITE CHARACTER
Leah from the simonverse and Leah on the Offbeat, she’s my fave. I loved everything about her, her body positivity and how comfortable she was with herself and her image, I needed to read that and see it in a published book. While I may not be at that place mentally, seeing it was important.
BOOK THAT MADE YOU CRY
Dear Martin made me sob, my heart was so broken while reading that and I’ll still cry if I think about one certain part.
BOOK THAT MADE YOU HAPPY
I haven’t read a lot of happy books so far this year, the one that comes to mind is Amy and Rogers Epic Detour while it is more on the sad end of the scale, there a lot of happy parts and it made me smile a lot during it.
FAVORITE BOOK TO FILM ADAPTATION
I haven’t watched the movie yet but I recently finished The Shape of Water with the intent of watching the movie now.
FAVORITE POST YOU HAVE DONE THIS YEAR
I haven’t been posting a lot so I got nothing for this.
MOST BEAUTIFUL BOOK YOU’VE BOUGHT THIS YEAR
The Wicked Deep has a gorgeous cover and the naked hardback is everything I love aesthetically, it has little silver stars everywhere and a crescent moon. Also, I really enjoyed the story, so much that I read it in one sitting.
WHAT BOOKS DO YOU NEED TO READ BY THE END OF THE YEAR
So many, too many to really count. I want to pick up the Heir series and the Seven Realms series by Cinda William Chima.
