What did you recently finish reading?

Yesterday I finished both The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo, I gave it a 3 out of 5 stars, the book had a lot of great ideas but many of them didn’t seem right for me, my life, and my personal aesthetic tastes.

I also finished Not Your Sidekick which I really enjoyed, it had amazing representation, the superhero aspects were so fun, but it started off at a very slow pace. I do plan on reading the next one for sure!

What are you currently reading?

I just downloaded Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen and that’s going to be my audiobook for the next couple days, it’s a short audiobook so it’s not going to take long. I’m very excited to be reading more Austen.

I also checked out Want from my library the other day when I saw the cover reveal for Ruse! It’s a gorgeous cover and I love it. As soon as I saw it I requested a hold on Want at my library and I am very excited to dive into it.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I have three books that I want to read right away after this, there’s A Reaper at the Gates which I need to read asap for my sanity, also Save The Date by Morgan Matson one of my most anticipated contemporaries of the year, and finally Listen to Your Heart by Kasie West.

Corey and I are going camping this weekend and I’m hoping to bring Save the Date and Listen to Your Heart to read over the weekend. There’s a gorgeous looking lake close by and it’s calling my name to bring a book and relax in the sun!

What have you finished reading lately?

  1. I hope you’re enjoying your Austen reads! She is my favorite author of all time. I pretty much felt the same way about the Marie Kondo book. Interesting ideas but not all of her methods work well with my lifestyle. I really need to catch up on An Ember in the Ashes series. I’ve heard good things about Reaper so far but I still need to read A Torch.
