Empire of Storms
by Sarah J Maas
I felt like I was in shock over the ending and now I am 110% sure that Sarah J Maas is trying to kill my soul. Overall I really loved this.
The Beginning of Everything
by Robyn Schneider
This may be the only time that being underwhelmed by a book is a good thing because I feel like it balanced out my emotions from the EoS trauma and now I feel relatively fine, does that make sense?
I gave this two stars overall, the plot was slow, a little mundane, and I just wasnt impressed. If it didnt have a character named Cassidy (the name is even spelled the same way as mine! Makes me so happy!) then I wouldn’t have read it. Review to come.

I am ready for this! Can’t wait to dive back into this world!

The Sky is Everywhere

Ice Like Fire
by Sarah Raasch
I have a tentative plan to read a contemporary book in between fantasy books. My thought process is going along these lines: Each fantasy book I have lined up to read is part of a series, all of them will probably leave off on an intense cliffhanger and quite possibly make me go into a reading slump. I am mixing contemporary reads in between to act as a palette cleanser. I typically read contemporary books a lot faster than I do fantasy since there isn’t much world building, and since I can read them faster it’ll keep me motivated to move onto the next book.
That’s my plan and my thought process. I really want to read Ice like Fire because the final book in the trilogy is set to be released next week and I want to jump into that right away.
So that’s what I’m reading this week, what are you reading today?
Let me know what you think about A torch against the night.. And That ending sure killed me too. I loved Elide and Lorcan chapters though. SJ Maas has a thing for cruel endings.
