WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World Of Words. Simply answer the following questions:
What have you recently finished reading?
What are you currently reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
What have you recently finished reading?
Nothing.
So I am currently in a reading slump and I cannot figure out why for the life of me. Seriously. Just at the moment, reading is not my top priority, I had an incredibly busy weekend. I’m not a social person and I don’t go out often but over the weekend I had two birthday parties and a family reunion to go to, and now I am just wiped out.
I think my slump has been formed just by feeling busy and overwhelmed, hopefully, that changes soon.
Wanna hear something really sad? I’ve owned Nevernight since last Tuesday, do you know how many pages of it I’ve read in the last week? 20. I’m only on chapter 3. I’m really liking what I’m reading but I just can’t seem to sit down and read, or when I do sit down and read, I start falling asleep.
Help me!
What are you currently reading?
At the moment I’m trying to cure my slump with a cute and fluffy contemporary novel and if that doesn’t work, I have an angsty sounding NA novel that sounds like it could help. Fingers crossed.
But PS I Like You is super adorable!
What do you think you’ll read next?
I have no idea! Depending on how I like Clipped Wings I might pick up Inked Armor which is book 2. I guess I’ll just see how it goes.
Do you have any reading slump cures? If so please help a girl out!
Reading slumps are such a pain! I heard rereading a favorite was helpful! 🙂

I never do rereads because it takes away time I could use to discover new stories 🙂 but when I’m down, Harry Potter is the answer

thats kind of my feeling too but once in a while I get an urge. Yes! I believe that Harry Potter is always the answer 🙂

Oh no! Sorry to hear about the slump. It must be really bad if you can’t get into Nevernight 😦
When I feel I can’t read anything I always return to Howl’s Moving Castle (which I re-read in a couple of hours earlier this week after my not so great experience with 2 literary fiction books) and it cheered me up. Something by Rainbow Rowell tends to do the same… hmn. Any other favourite children’s book that you could read quickly? Roald Dahl?!

Thank you for your suggestions! I was toying with the idea of rereading Fangirl so maybe I’ll pick that up soon.

I LOLed at that Spongebob meme 😂😂. Sorry to hear about the slump though, they are the worst -_-. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts about Clipped Wings. I have yet to read that series, but hopefully it can get you out of your slump!

I so glad to hear someone else lol’ed at it too. I’m really liking Clipped Wings so far, I’m 82 pages in and head over heels in love with Hayden.

Ugh! I feel you on the reading slump! After reading too much for this reading decathlon that I”m not even done with, I’m in a slump. I hope those books help and you get out of your slump and enjoy Nevernight! Fantastic book! 🙂
