Good Morning everyone!

I am so excited to be back and doing this again. It’s been way too long! I’ve missed being able to talk about books. And to clarify I talk about books all the time even to people who don’t necessarily care or like the BF who sits and listens and pulls up cat videos when a book breaks my heart and makes me cry (I’m looking at you Prodigy!) but it’s not the same as being able to talk to people who know and understand the emotional journey that the book is taking me through.

What have you recently finished reading?

I just finished reading Splintered by A.G. Howard.

I really enjoyed Splintered, it was a dark retelling of Alice in Wonderland and I thoroughly enjoyed it, it reminded me of American McGees Alice: Madness Returns so I ended up playing that for a while over the weekend.

 

 

 

What are you currently reading?

The Love that Split the World by Emily Henry and Belladonna by Fiona Paul.

I’m enjoying Belladonna a lot more than I thought I would, but it doesn’t help that the main characters name is Cass and that’s my nickname lol. Shallow reasons to like something but I’m not ashamed 😉

I really want to get to The Love that Split the World, I’ve been wanting to get to it for about a week now but was feeling a little unmotivated to read.

What do you think you’ll read next?

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas

Agh! I can’t believe I still haven’t read this yet! I saw everyone’s tweets and updates about the heartbreak and emotional feels that came with this and it kind of scared me away for a while. But I want to read this and I feel like I’m ready. Also, Dee told me that I was breaking her heart because I haven’t read a Court of Mist and Fury or Lady Midnight yet, and I don’t want to break her heart so I promised her that I would be reading those two super soon.

  2. I have been seeing sooo many people read ACOTAR and ACOMAF lately. I just came back from book shopping and I bought BOTH of them! XD Hahaha, hopefully they’ll live up to the expectation.

      1. I’m sure I will. Beauty and the Beast is one of my favourite fairy tales. Plus it’s a Sarah J. Maas book. 🙂 I’m super exited to start reading it!

  3. Omg you’re totally right about Splintered being like Alice Madness Returns! The game kind of scares me because I’m a baby but I love playing it haha. I’m currently reading ACOMAF and you should totally read it next! (:

    1. it scares me too lol especially the level after the Queen of Hearts with the Dollmaker. I think thats whos after the Queen. But I wont play it unless someone else is home with me lol. Im so excited to get to ACOMAF.

      1. Lol I don’t think I’ve gotten that far yet xD talking about it makes me want to play it though! But only when my brother is home haha. I forget what they’re called but those black scary giant leech looking like monsters? with the baby head? SCARES me so bad lol. I sometimes make my brother kill them for me haha XD

      3. YEAH! I just looked it up and basically all the ruins are SUPER CREEPY. I think I’m at the beginning of oriental grove, it’s been like a year since I played it? haha xD are you planning to finish the game any time soon?
