Together, they journey toward the angels’ stronghold in San Francisco where she’ll risk everything to rescue her sister and he’ll put himself at the mercy of his greatest enemies for the chance to be made whole again.

My thoughts:

Dear god, this book was addicting! I flew through these pages, I seriously could not get enough of this book, I want more. I am so glad that I bought all three books together!

(There was an amazing deal on Amazon, sometimes the prices are lowered to about 3 dollars. And when you see a book that’s only 3 dollars it’s really hard to resist!)

Time to marathon them!

But back to Angelfall

This book was darker than I expected it to be and there were details about the characters thrown in that I did not see coming. I went into this book not knowing much about it. I knew that it was a post-apocalyptic world after angels descended and attacked our world and that the main characters sister was taken. That’s about it, and I’m glad that I didn’t know much going in. Because of that, I don’t really want to go into many details.

I was constantly surprised by Penryn’s character and how she handled the situations that she was thrown in. I would definitely want her to be my survival buddy in an apocalypse, she’s the right amount of paranoid, she’s resourceful, she’s a fighter, long story short she’s just a total badass.

Raffe was pretty cool too, I loved the exchange of life debts they kept passing back and forth between each other, but my heart constantly kept breaking for him throughout the book.

I learned so many tips on writing a post-apocalyptic through this book and that was great. Ee thought of so many details that I have missed in my own writing and she thought of things that I would never think of. I feel like this is one of the books that would greatly influence my own writing.

Another reason why I really liked this book.
